Research Interests

Dr. Soong's research interests focus on the pathogenesis, detection and prevention of women's cancers, in particular the following areas:

  • Pathogenesis of pelvic high-grade serous carcinoma in association with host exposures and risk factors in local microenvironment.
  • Molecular-epidemiologic-pathologic profiles in the development and progression of gynecologic cancer and breast cancer.
  • Premalignant biology of ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.
