Dr. Clemons is an Associate Professor of Pathology, an Assistant Medical Laboratory Director of Clinical Microbiology in the section of Laboratory Medicine, and a member of the Health Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee. Dr. Clemons has administrative oversight, liaison, and consultation responsibilities in bacteriology, sexual health testing, ophthalmic microbiology, and community hospital laboratory microbiology.

Dr. Clemons works with an outstanding team of laboratory professionals that conducts clinical analysis on human specimens for infectious disease diagnoses and antimicrobial testing. He also has expertise in laboratory management, laboratory automation, method & instrument verification & validation, and laboratory test results interpretation.
